Screwy Louie Gohmert: The Terrorists Are Already Here

Screwy Louie’s back! (Actually, he never went away, but I’ve been trying my best to ignore him.)

Louie “Goober” Gomert, the former Chief Justice on Texas’s 12th Court of Appeals and multi-time winner of the San Antonio Current’s “Bonehead Quote of the Week” award, stopped by Breitbart for a little refugee bashing. He was interviewed on Breitbart News Daily by Stephen Bannon, Breitbart’s Executive Chairman.

When the subject of the 8 Syrians, 5 Pakistanis and an Afghani supposedly arrested while trying to sneak in the U.S. came up, Louie chimed in that he was glad,

people are waking up across the country to what’s been going on for quite some time.

Before we proceed, the FBI released this statement about the 5 Pakistanis and the Afghani that were apprehended crossing the border:

U.S. Border Patrol agents in Sonoita, Arizona, apprehended five Pakistani nationals and one Afghan national Monday. Agents also arrested two smugglers accompanying the group. As a standard procedure, agents processed the six individuals and checked their identities against numerous law enforcement and national security related databases. Records checks revealed no derogatory information about the individuals. The individuals are currently in federal custody.

They were trying to sneak in, however that in no way proves they are terrorists. We apprehend illegal immigrants daily. These just happened to be committing the crime of being Muslims.

As for the (gasp!) Syrians? Sorry, but they weren’t even trying to sneak in. Here’s the story on that: The two sets of parents and four children “presented themselves at the port of entry in Laredo” and told agents from Customs and Border Protection they wanted to enter the country. (Somehow, that doesn’t quite sound like the modus operandi of terrorists.)

Back to Goober.
They’re here, they’re here, there is no question, they’re here, that’s been confirmed over and over but it’s got to stop, it’s got to stop.

Earth to idiot: As Chuck Todd pointed out on yesterday’s (11/22/15) Meet the Press,

There’s been nearly 785,000 refugees who have been admitted to the United States since 9/11. Only about a dozen — roughly one one thousandths of 1 percent — have been arrested or removed from the U.S. due to terrorism concerns. None of those folks removed were Syrian, by the way.

For someone who fancies himself an expert on the subject, you’d think Goober would know that. And, if he does know that, then he’s just flat-ass lying!

Goober rambled on,

This president wanted to fundamentally transform America and he’s been doing it. Unfortunately, he’s been doing it by looking the other way at the border.

(So, I guess all those Border Patrol Agents strung out along the border are just trying to improve their tans.)
Goober went on to say that the FBI Director consistently says there’s no guaranteed way to know who any incoming Syrian refugees “really” are, so it’s imperative to defund the Syrian refugee program completely.
Once again, Earth to idiot: here’s what it really takes for a refugee to be allowed admittance. It’ a process that can take up to a couple of years. Particularly notice steps 3,4&5.wh_blog_refugee_workflow_1120bBeing the fair and balanced person that I am, I will have to somewhat agree with the statement that terrorists are already here. Louie, however, neglects to mention that for the last two decades they are predominantly, white, right-wing fake “Christians.11252248_498547676997557_5075398934958670050_n
If you’ve got the stomach for it, here’s Goober’s entire interview: (Byo Pepto Bismol.)

Bristol Palin Attacks Atheist In A Battle Of Wits

I see Bristol (Sarah-in-training) Palin is inserting herself into the news cycle again. The twice knocked-up poster child for “Just say NO!” has had a busy week. Just a few days ago, she was whining about a movie that made Mama Grizzly look bad by filming her mouth fart utterances. Now she is trying to engage atheist Richard Dawkins in a battle of wits. (As usual, she’s less than half equipped.)

Before I get into the filbert salad, I need to insert a disclaimer: I’m a “real, live, full-blown, fire-breathing Atheist” complete with horns and a tail. Well, that’s how the Religious Wrong troglodytes might describe me. However, my philosophy regarding religion is “Whatever gets you through the night, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone.” A lot of my friends are religious. (A cliche, but it is true.) They try to live a good, principled life and attempt to make the world a better place. And, I salute them for it. The fake “christians” on the other hand…..

On Bristol’s blog on Patheos, she (or her ghost writer) got all up in arms because Richard Dawkins had the temerity to say that rather than evil, the 9/11 participants saw themselves as doing the right thing.

I think the 9/11 hijackers all sincerely believed that they were doing the right and proper moral, religious thing. They were not in themselves evil. They were following their faith.

And yes, as you can see by the quote, Dawkins did say that. However, either Caribou Barbie Jr. didn’t watch the video, didn’t understand the big (over 4 letter) words or purposely took the quote totally out of context. Just watch the video below and you’ll see what I mean.

The point he was making is that faith is pernicious because it can do that to otherwise decent people. And, before you claim that only Muslims are into faith-based terrorism, bear in mind that there are a number of home grown “christian” terrorist groups such as

  • The Army of God openly promotes killing abortion providers. They’ve been involved in the deaths of Dr John Britton and his bodyguard, two receptionists at a Brookline Massachusetts Planned Parenthood clinic, Dr. David Gunn, Dr. George Tiller and the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta.
  • The Phineas Priesthood whose members have been involved in violent activities ranging from abortion clinic bombings to bank robberies.
  • The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord was responsible for firebombing an Indiana synagogue, arson of a Missouri church and an attempted bombing of a pipeline supplying Chicago with natural gas. In 1985, FBI agents raided the CSA compound and seized hundreds of weapons, bombs, an anti-tank rocket and quanities of cyanide allegedly intended to poison a city’s water supply.
  • The Order started out robbing banks and Brinks to raise money for “the cause” and weapons and a ski condo. They soon upped the ante, adding bombing and murder to their repertoire. They bombed a Boise synagogue, killed one of their own they thought had loose lips. Their most notorious murder was that of Jewish radio host Alan Berg.

There are quite a few more, but you get the idea.

Back to Baby Bump’s burps:

Regardless of your religious beliefs or lack thereof, it’s absolutely ludicrous to say that men who chose to train for years with the sole aim to kill as many people as possible are somehow not evil.  I would say their actions are the very definition of evil.

It is an incredibly dangerous thing to downplay the motives of the hijackers or try to normalize them. They were not normal men.  They were radicalized jihadists.  And, yes, their actions were evil.  If their actions are not evil, then one cannot even fathom something that would actually be evil.

Once again, if she’d paid attention, Dawkins didn’t say what they did wasn’t evil, he said the perpetrators weren’t necessarily evil, just brainwashed by their religion, much like the above “christian” terrorists.

At one point in the Dawkins video, the host pointed out that Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Tse Tung were all atheists. And, look what they did.In answer, Dawkins pointed out that unlike the jihadists and the “christian” terrorists,

They did horrible things and they were horrible people. But not in the name of atheism.

Bristol’s conclusion:

The radical atheist ends up defending the radical jihadists, because according to his crazy ideas, they aren’t evil — they were just brainwashed.

Earth to bimbo: Dawkins wasn’t defending, he was explaining!

Btw, that interview was at least a year ago and Bristol’s now just commenting on it? Maybe she was just searching for something to screech at to keep her name in the news. That, more or less, runs in the family.

Oh, and just in case you are interested, here’s an example of “Christian” brainwashing:
